Persepsi Belia Berisiko Liberal Terhadap Agenda Liberalisme (The Perception of Youth at Risk of Having Liberal Thought Towards Liberalism Agenda)
Abstract

Abstract
This study surveyed the perception of youths at risk of having liberal thought towards liberalism agenda. Liberalism is a thought that was born from the western philosophy as the implication of the oppression and cruelty of the church in the name of religion and god. The study was conducted using qualitative methodology that has involved interview with six youths at risk of having liberal thought. The respondents were selected based on the inclination of their thoughts and writings in the social media that have been identified at risk of having liberal thought. Their writings and opinions towards the Islamic current issues were done solely based on logical perception with the absence of strong religious foundation and rejects religious authority as the enforcement tool for the Muslims. The implication is the birth of a thinking style that is derailed from Allah revealed knowledge and the opinions of erudite Muslim Scholars. The findings of the study found that the youths at risk incline towards liberal thinking and support liberalism as the right choice for Muslims today. The study also showed that the driving factor behind their liberal thinking is due to the trauma and concern towards what had been done by the church to the Christians would repeat itself among Muslims. Their prejudice towards religious institution is very high to the extent it drives them to reject religious institution as the responsible body for the Muslim affairs and laws. It is hoped that this study can open the opportunity for better discussion with the youths at risk of having liberal thought so that they will be able to understand Islam in the real sense and then realize the big difference between Islamic and church institutions.
