PENEROKAAN BENTUK SOKONGAN PSIKOSOSIAL DALAM KALANGAN PETUGAS BENCANA BANJIR

Abstract


Bencana banjir adalah isu rentas sempadan yang memberi kesan kepada negara-negara ASEAN, termasuk isu psikososial yang dihadapi oleh petugas bencana. Sokongan psikososial memainkan peranan penting dalam membantu petugas bencana mengatasi tekanan demi kesejahteraan mental, emosi, dan sosial mereka. Oleh itu, objektif kajian ini adalah untuk meneroka bentuk sokongan psikososial yang diperlukan oleh petugas bencana banjir. Penyelidikan ini menggunakan kaedah kualitatif iaitu kajian kes sebagai reka bentuk kajian. Lokasi kajian adalah di Selangor, Malaysia. Keadah persampelan kajian yang digunakan adalah kaedah persampelan bertujuan dengan kriteria inklusif; (i) Berumur antara 20 - 55 tahun (ii) Masih berkhidmat di agensi yang terlibat dalam mengurus bencana banjir di Selangor (iii) Berpengalaman sekurang-kurang satu tahun sebagai petugas bencana banjir. Kaedah pengumpulan data yang digunakan adalah temu bual mendalam manakala teknik tematik analisis digunakan untuk menganalisis data kualitatif. Hasil daripada kajian mendapati lima tema utama iaitu sokongan emosi dan psikologi; sokongan praktikal, fizikal dan logistik; sokongan sosial; sokongan profesional dan kerja; serta sokongan dasar dan polisi. Sokongan psikososial bukan sahaja melindungi keselamatan dan kesihatan petugas tetapi juga menjamin kesejahteraan kehidupan mereka. Implikasi dari kajian ini melihat kepada perlunya penyediaan sokongan psikososial yang menyeluruh dan bersepadu bagi memperkukuh daya tahan petugas bencana yang mempengaruhi kepada tindak balas terhadap bencana banjir di Malaysia.
