Kata kunci: Ketahanan diri; sokongan sosial; kekuatan dalaman; peranan persekitaran; faktor pelindung; pelajar berbakat sukanAbstract: The resilience of a talented sports student can be linked to the role of environment towards him as well as inner abilities. In the context of current situations such as the COVID-19 pandemic, resilience becomes increasingly important and acts as a protective factor against the risk of talent development failure. Nonetheless, resilience does not exist on its own and needs the contribution of various factors. Till date, research on contributing factors of resilience including during the COVID-19 pandemic are still explored. Thus, this paper aims to review the impact of resilience during COVID-19 pandemic in terms of contributing factors. The study involved secondary data collection and content analysis. This study found that there are two main factors that contribute to talented sports student resilience, namely social support (family, friends and coaches), as well as internal strength (problem solving skills, self-awareness and self-efficacy). This study is important in providing an overview of the issue of resilience that occurs in current situations such as the COVID-19 pandemic that can affect the development of sports talent, especially in Malaysia. Keywords: Resilience; social support; internal strength; environment roles; protective factors; sports talented student’sReferences Abu Bakar, A.
