Rasa Selamat dan Kepuasan Masyarakat terhadap Perkhidmatan Unit Rondaan Bermotosikal (URB) di Taman Perumahan Rakyat Sri Stulang, Johor Bahru

Abstract

Unit Rondaan Bermotosikal (URB) merupakan satu pasukan unit rondaan polis yang menjalankan tugas kawalan dan pengawasan di kawasan taman, premis dan lingkungan kawasan untuk menjaga keselamatan dan pencegahan jenayah. URB juga merupakan barisan hadapan PDRM dalam rondaan cegah jenayah di lapangan dan merupakan elemen terpenting dalam memberi perkhidmatan yang segera mengikut masa yang ditetapkan. Artikel ini membincangkan berkaitan rasa selamat dan kepuasan masyarakat terhadap perkhidmatan dan peranan URB di kawasan Taman Perumahan Rakyat Sri Stulang, Johor Bahru Selatan. Tumpuan utama artikel ini adalah meneliti fungsi-fungsi dan tanggungjawab URB di Taman Perumahan Rakyat Sri Stulang dan mengenal pasti maklum balas dari komuniti setempat tentang kewujudan URB. Kajian menggunakan pendekatan kuantitatif dengan kaedah soal selidik terhadap 361 responden. Pengumpulan data dan perisian yang digunakan dalam kajian adalah Statistical Pakage for Social Sciences (SPSS) dan data dipersembahkan secara perbandingan min, peratusan, tabulasi silang serta ujian korelasi Pearson. Hasil dapatan menunjukkan peranan utama URB berada pada aras sangat tinggi iaitu (4.23 min). Hasil kajian untuk rasa selamat bagi URB ini berada pada tahap sangat tinggi (4.32 min) dan rasa puas hati berada pada tahap tinggi (4.16 min). Kajian ini diharap dapat memberi implikasi yang baik dan memberi faedah kepada PDRM, khususnya bagi Jabatan Pencegahan Jenayah dan Keselamatan Komuniti (JPJKK) yang menekankan objektif utamanya iaitu dalam merangka strategi, melaksanakan inisiatif-inisiatif dengan objektif untuk mengurangkan jenayah dan meningkatkan persepsi keselamatan. Kajian ini akan menambahbaik fungsi dan peranan seterusnya meningkatkan prestasi kerja yang lebih efektif.Kata kunci: Jenayah; kepolisan; masyarakat; rasa selamat; sosiologiAbstract: The Motorcycle Patrol Unit (URB) is a group of police patrol units that performs control and surveillance duties in parks, buildings, and the neighbourhood to uphold safety and prevent crime. The most crucial component in offering prompt services in accordance with the scheduled time is URB, which is also the first line of defence for PDRM in crime prevention patrols in field. The community's sense of security and satisfaction with URB's services and role in the Sri Stulang People's Housing Park neighbourhood of Johor Bahru Selatan are discussed in this article. This article's major objective is to look at the duties and responsibilities of the URB in Sri Stulang Public Housing Park and to find out what the neighbourhood thinks of it. A questionnaire method and a quantitative approach are both used in the study of 361 participants. The Statistical Package for Social Sciences (SPSS) was used to collect the data and analyse it. The data are presented as mean comparisons, percentages, cross tabulations, and Pearson's correlation tests. The outcomes demonstrate that URB's primary role is at a relatively high level (4.23 min). According to the study's findings, this URB's sensation of security is extremely high (4.32 min), and its sense of contentment is also very high (4.16 min). The Crime Prevention and Community Safety Department (JPJKK), which emphasises that its main goal is to formulate strategies and implement initiatives with the objective of reducing crime and improving perceptions of safety, is expected to benefit from this study and receive positive implications.
