Peer Review Process
All manuscripts submitted to e-Bangi Journal of Social Sciences & Humanities undergo an initial editorial screening to assess content relevance and overall scholarly quality. Where necessary, the corresponding author will be contacted to submit a revised version prior to peer review.
Manuscripts that pass the screening stage are evaluated through a double-blind peer review process by a minimum of two independent reviewers. Decisions regarding publication are made based on the Section Editor’s recommendations.
Manuscripts are evaluated according to their appropriateness for e-Bangi, contribution to the discipline, cogency of analysis, conceptual breadth, clarity of presentation, and technical adequacy. To ensure that manuscripts are evaluated solely on their academic merit, the identities of authors are concealed from reviewers throughout the review process.
Manuscripts submitted by members of the Section Editor are subject to the same peer review procedures as all other submissions.
Open Access Policy
This journal provides immediate open access to its content on the principle that making research freely available to the public supports a greater global exchange of knowledge.
Special Section Policy
e-Bangi: Journal of Social Sciences and Humanities currently publishes both Special Themes and Special Issues, and through this approach, the journal reaffirms its dedication to scholarly excellence, ethical publishing practices, and the dissemination of impactful and relevant research.
Special Themes bring together a focused collection of articles within a regular issue that explore a clearly defined topic, concept, or contemporary concern. By grouping related contributions, Special Themes aim to strengthen thematic coherence, stimulate critical discussion, and highlight innovative theoretical, empirical, and practice-oriented research.
Special Issues involve the publication of a complete journal issue dedicated to a single theme of substantial academic or societal relevance. These issues may be led by Guest Editors with recognised expertise in the field and are intended to deepen understanding, consolidate existing scholarship, and help shape future research directions.
All manuscripts submitted under Special Themes and Special Issues are assessed in accordance with the journal’s established editorial policies and are subject to rigorous peer review, ethical standards, and quality assurance procedures. The Editor retains full responsibility for editorial oversight, including the appointment of Guest Editors and final publication decisions, to ensure transparency, academic integrity, and alignment with the journal’s aims and scope.
