Abstract


Kertas ini bertujuan mengenal pasti pola tingkah laku kewangan guru-guru di Bandar Baru Bangi, Selangor. Seramai 362 orang guru dilibatkan dalam analisis ini. Data dikutip menggunakan borang soal selidik. Analisis data dilakukan secara diskriptif dengan fokus ke atas pola belanjawan, amalan penelitian, penilaian perbelanjaan dan perancangan kewangan secara konsisten Hasil kajian menunjukkan responden mempunyai purata tingkah laku kewangan yang agak baik dalam hal-hal berkaitan pembayaran bil-bil utiliti dan ansuran bulanan. Namun masih terdapat sebahagian guru yang mempunyai pola tingkah laku kewangan yang kurang baik. Suatu kajian bagi mengenal pasti faktor-faktor yang mempengaruhi tingkah laku kewangan dalam kalangan guru-guru wajar dilakukan.

The aim of this paper was to identify the financial behaviour pattern amongst teachers in Bandar Baru Bangi, Selangor. A total of 362 teachers were involved in the study. Data were collected through a questionnaire survey. A descriptive analysis of the data was applied on the patterns of expenditure, practise of examination and assessment on the expenditure, also a consistent financial planning. The findings revealed that the respondents have a relatively good mean of financial behaviour in terms of payment of utility bills and monthly installment. However, there were teachers who are still involved in a bad financial behaviour. A study should be carried out to identify factors that influence financial behaviour amongst teachers.
