Pengaruh amalan komunikasi terhadap penglibatan belia dalam kesukarelawanan (The influence of communication practices on youth’s participation in volunteerisme)

Golongan belia adalah modal insan yang penting. Mereka adalah pemimpin masa depan yang akan menyumbang kepada kejayaan negara. Bagi mencapai hasrat tersebut, belia perlu lebih bertanggungjawab, prihatin dan banyak melibatkan diri dalam aktiviti kemasyarakatan. Walau bagaimanapun, belia pada hari ini didapati kurang melibatkan diri dalam aktiviti kesukarelaan khususnya di peringkat komuniti. Kertas konsep ini membincangkan faktor-faktor yang dijangka akan mempengaruhi penglibatan belia dalam aktiviti kesukarelaan. Berpandukan teori dan dapatan kajian lepas, kajian keperpustakaan ini mencadangkan komunikasi interpersonal, komunikasi organisasi dan komunikasi media sebagai faktor yang boleh menggalakkan penglibatan belia dalam aktiviti kesukarelaan di peringkat komuniti.

Abstract
Youths are important human capital, they are the future leaders who will contribute to the nation's success. To achieve the goal, youth need to be more responsible, caring and involved in community activities. However, today's youth were found to be less likely to get involved in volunteerism, especially at the community level. This concept paper discussed the factors that are expected to influence the involvement of youth in volunteerism. Based on the theory and findings of previous studies, this literature study suggests interpersonal communication, organizational communication and media communication as factors that can encourage youth engagement in volunteerism at community level.
