We are pleased to invite manuscript submissions for the upcoming issues of Islamiyyat: The International Journal of Islamic Studies (ISSN 0126-5636 | e-ISSN 2600-8556), a peer-reviewed academic journal published biannually (June and December) by UKM Press, Malaysia.

Since its inception in 1977, Islamiyyat has served as a leading platform for the scholarly exploration of Islamic studies, thought, texts, traditions, and contemporary issues affecting Muslim societies worldwide.

The journal is indexed in:
• Emerging Sources Citation Index (ESCI), Web of Science
• Journal Impact Factor (JCR 2024): 0.9
• Index Islamicus, ProQuest, UDLedge, MyCite, MyJurnal, and UKM Journal Article Repository (UJAR)

Scope & Submission Guidelines
Islamiyyat welcomes original, unpublished research the following areas, including but not limited to:
• Islamic thought and philosophy
• Qur’anic and Hadith studies
• Islamic jurisprudence (Fiqh)
• Islamic civilization and history
• Contemporary issues in Muslim societies
• Interdisciplinary Islamic studies
Types of manuscripts accepted: Research articles, Review papers, Commentaries,Research notes, Book reviews.
Submissions may be in Malay, English, or Arabic and must adhere to the journal’s ethical standards and scholarly rigor.

To ensure transparency and support authors throughout the publication process, Islamiyyat: The International Journal of Islamic Studies provides the following editorial performance indicators:

Average Time from Submission to Acceptance/Publication:
The journal maintains an average processing time of approximately 3-8 months from initial submission to final decision and publication.

Article Acceptance Rate:
Based on recent data, Islamiyyat has an acceptance rate of approximately 30% reflecting a selective peer-review process that upholds academic quality.

Manuscript Rejection and Acceptance Volume:
In the most recent publication cycle, the journal received a total of 100 submissions, of which 30 were accepted and 70 were declined after rigorous editorial and peer review evaluation.

These metrics demonstrate the journal’s commitment to academic rigor, timely review, and transparent communication with its authors and readership.
