Its primary focus covers Qur’anic and Hadith studies, Islamic jurisprudence and legal theory (uṣūl al-fiqh), Islamic theology, thought and philosophy, as well as Sīrah, Islamic history, and civilization. The journal also engages with contemporary issues in Muslim societies through the lens of Islamic epistemology.
