Abstract

ABSTRACTThis study discusses the influence of parents on understanding Islamic education in primary schools. The research uses questionnaires were analyzed using SPSS Version 19.0 for Windows. The study involves pupils of the National School of Bandar Tun Razak (2), Federal Territory of Kuala Lumpur. This study aims to determine the extent of parental influence on the understanding of the Islamic Education and to identify the measures taken by parents in the home in enhancing the understanding of Islamic Education. The results shows that parents seen has played a positive role by instilling Islamic values to their children. In addition, the students agree that their parents have given guidance in the subject of Islamic Education although there are a few steps are not undertaken as a whole by them in promoting their understanding of Islamic Education.
