[ms] The Method of Translation of al-Quran in Tafsir Nur Al-Ihsan

Abstract

Tafsir Nur al-Ihsan is a work of Malay Jawi. Thus, when interacting with texts of Arabic language including verses of al-Quran, its author certainly does translation. Therefore, this article tries to identify the method which applied by the author of Tafsir Nur al-Ihsan in translating verses of al-Quran. This study uses the designs of content and descriptive analysis. The finding shows that the author applies six methods of translation namely interlingual translation, bound or katawi translation, full translation, partial translation, communicative translation, and direct translation.
