Abstract

Malaysia has been working hard to establish the Quranic culture in education system.This effort has been provenby the introduction of a program that highlights the knowledge of the Quran as the basis for teaching and learning.The program is named as program of j-QAF and introduced in national primary schools throughout Malaysia. Thisprogram was implemented in 2005 in the hope of building a civilized society and global anchored on knowledge al-Quran.The objective of this paper is to assess the effectiveness of the j-QAF program in achieving its main objectiveof implementation in Malaysia.Keywords: Islamic education; j-QAF; Quranic educationDOI: http://dx.doi.org/10.17576/islamiyyat-2014-3602-06
