Kertas konsep ini bertujuan untuk membincangkan peranan pengetua dalam menyokong perubahan organisasi melalui amalan Komuniti Pembelajaran Profesional (PLC). Peranan pengetua penting dalam menyokong perubahan organisasi dengan menentukan matlamat dan hala tuju yang jelas, melibatkan guru dalam membuat keputusan dan mewujudkan persekitaran yang akan menyokong proses perubahan. Sehubungan itu, pengetua memainkan peranan penting dalam menyokong perubahan bagi membentuk amalan kolaboratif guru melalui pelaksanaan PLC. Kertas konsep ini memberi implikasi terhadap dasar pendidikan negara dalam Pelan Pembangunan Pendidikan Malaysia 2013-2025 Anjakan ke-4 dan ke-5 melalui penekanan amalan PLC sebagai inisiatif organisasi (KPM 2013). Selain itu, latihan yang lebih berfokus dalam mengurus pelaksanaan PLC di sekolah perlu diperluas. Implikasi dari aspek amalan pula menekankan peranan pengetua dan guru dalam memupuk amalan kolaboratif guru melalui pelaksanaan PLC.
